READY, SET, GO

It is almost time to go. I am almost ready, and instead of finishing up, here I am blogging! Talk about priorities!
I still have the final packing to do, a pair of pants to hem and the legs to give a good shave! I also need to run the dishwasher and clean out my car. And of course Monday night is trash night. OY.
I don't know for sure if I will be able to catch the blog scene while I am gone, but I will surely try. I may stop home tomorrow before I head to the airport for one final look-see, if I leave in enough time. I have to go to work for a couple of hours in the morning, but I may just go straight to the airport from work.
I am kind of nervous about the meetings. My boss called today and said everyone in corporate wants to meet me. I need to know all my numbers inside and out, and frankly, numbers flee my head in stressful situations. I can know a entire catagory of 8 digit sku numbers by heart, but as soon as my boss would ask for one, it is like - DUH! We got a hand written note from the president of the company last week congratulating us on September results, so that was really appreciated and I know he will want to talk to me. OY! I am also tentative about the days of meetings. Being a retailer, I am not used to sitting for hours and hours on end. And my end hurts after sitting so long, since I hurt my back. Oh well, I guess after all the bitching I do about standing for 12 hours, I shouldn't complain about that!
Then comes Thursday! YAY! Off to L.A for the big event. I am so totally excited for that. I can't wait to see some friends I haven't seen in way too long. Of course it is all about Ben, but there are extra benefits as well! One big benny is going to be the weather! In case you are wondering, it is freezing here! Snowing, raining, windy and brrrrrrrrr, cold. It is actually supposed to be warmer in Chicago! And way warmer in L.A. Packed me some shorts!
Well my friends, I better get going and finish my tasks.
A couple of personal notes -
Sharon & Joanne - hope you had fun in Michigan & Canada. I will try and call you before I leave.
Yaakova - I am glad you are back and all is well. I read your blog and things sound really good.
Cher - When I get home, I NEED some coffee! Are you up for it? How about a week from Thursday?
Until next time...goodnight!

Hi guys!
The meetings went well. I had a great time and learned a lot. I had a chance to meet some extraordinary people, including our exclusive designer that flew in from Hong Kong - Peter Lam! I even broke one of my cardinal rules and asked to have a picture taken with him. I also learned that if I make sales goals for Novemeber, December and January, I can win an AWESOME trip to Cabo! I SOOOOOOO want to go, so if any of you need jewlery, you know where to find me!!!!!!! Chicago was also really cool. I will update that later.
Now I am in L.A for the Bar Mitzvah of the century! I arrived last night. Tonight we went to dinner and Shabbat services. I got to see Ron and Sheryl and the kids and sit with Todd Carb - my (and Ben's) personal hero.
Ben and I are going to get some things together for his mitzvah project for tomorrow - Pet's for Peace.
I will update again when I can.
Until next time...goodnight!

Maureen-
So glad the meetings went well! And it didn't even require chemical enhancement!!
Would you please post the URL for the jewelry store's selections, so we can shop online? I promise to contact you if I see something I want!

Hi all!
I am heading home tomorrow. I am in a state of wonderful exhaustion! The Bar Mitzvah was INCREDIBLE. I had an awesome time. Ben did great and everyone had a wonderful time at the party. I must say that I bawled my eyes out at services Saturday morning (as did most everyone in attendance), and then again during the video montage of his life so far, at the party.
It wa also strange having Josh drive me around! I can't get over the fact he is over 16 (even though I was at his Bar Mitzvah 3 years ago!)and his voice continues to get deeper and deeper! And Ben, at 13, towers over me!
Ben's Mitzvah was Pups for Peace - an orgianization that trains dogs to sniff out bombs in Israel. If anyone is interested in this organization and would like to donate in honor of his Bar Mitzvah, let me know.

Yaakova, I was kidding about the jewelry, but if you want to see some of our stuff - www.ultradiamonds.com. I think there is actually a store in Orlando ( but I am nicer and cuter!)

I will do a better update and post when I get home late tomorrow night or maybe on Tuesday.

Until next time...goodnight!

Maureen-
My blog has been very busy! You have some entertaining reading awaiting you!
I checked out the Ultra Diamonds site-- I'm actually looking for a David Yurman-styled two-tone pendant. Nothing expensive; under $100. (Perhaps a tall order for a diamond store, but keep me in mind!)
:)
