I WAS AT THE LIBRARY ON MAY 3RD!

GOOD STUFF was very good stuff! I was at the Library and took out my copy of Jennifer Grant's book about her and her father - Cary Grant. What a delightful read. Too bad I stayed up until 2 reading it and finished it this evening!

I really enjoyed the book and envy the realtionship they shared with each other. Though they didn't have enough time together they made the most of their time and made a lifetime of memories.

I adore Cee Gee even more...as if that was possible! And I miss my dad even more...as if that was possible.

Until next time...

CEE GEE UPDATE!

I haven't written about my fantasy man in a while, and I know you are wondering what is new in the world of Cee Gee and Mee!

I read another book...Evenings With Cary Grant. It is based on his appearances in theatres across the country, where he basically sits on the stage and answers fan questions. It was, in fact, the evening of his show in Davenport, IA that he suffered a major stroke and passed away. The book was a delight! It was totally positive. No bashing, nothing bad. It even dispelled a lot of the rumors that persisted and were so alarmingly prevelant in some of the other books I have read. I loved this book!

I have seen lots of pics of young Cee Gee but had yet to see him in any movies prior to 1937 (age 33 - The Awful Truth)...until last night! I found a boxed set of 5 movies dating from 1934 to 1936. The first one I have watched so far was 30 Day Princess, when he was 30. OMG! OMG! I about died and went to heaven! So handsome! Long and lean! Eyelashes that most humans would have to paste on! I fell in love all over again! And, his acting was good, too!!

After Googling 25 pages of images, I finally found the cover of the DVD set with 30 year old Cary! That is my new avatar at the right of this page. Whaddya think?

Gotta go, the DVD player and Cee Gee are calling my name!

Until next time...
